PARLIAMENTARY NEWS OF AFRICA PAYS COURTESY CALL ON HEAD OF CIVIL SERVICE
As part of activities marking its 10th Anniversary, Parliamentary News of Africa (P.N. Africa) has paid a courtesy call on the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, to recognise his leadership contributions to the Parliamentary Service. The visit also acknowledged his role in advancing parliamentary reporting and public affairs.
The Leader of the delegation, Mr. Gilbert Boyefuo of P.N. Africa expressed appreciation to Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh for his significant impact on Parliamentary News of Africa, particularly during his tenure as Chief Director at the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. He commended Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh’s leadership and support, which, he noted, contributed significantly to the growth and effectiveness of the organisation.
Mr. Boyefuo called for strengthened collaboration between Parliamentary News of Africa and the Office of the Head of the Civil Service (OHCS), particularly to enhance the tracking and monitoring of bills passed by Parliament. He emphasised that such cooperation would promote transparency and improve public access to parliamentary information.
In his response, Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh expressed gratitude for the visit and the recognition of his contributions during his time at the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. He welcomed the proposal for deeper collaboration and capacity-building initiatives and assured the delegation of his full commitment to enhancing service delivery through continued engagement and cooperation.
In a brief remark, the Chief Director for OHCS, Mr. Sylvanus Adzornu welcomed the idea of engaging the training institutions to support capacity building and professional development of staff responsible for communication and media in both institutions.
