OHCS TRAINED SECRETARIES IN THE MINISTRIES AND DEPARTMENTS
The Office of the Head of the Civil Service (OHCS), through its Recruitment, Training and Development Directorate (RTDD), has organized a two-day training program for Secretaries in the ministries and departments. The objective of the training programme was to equip them with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in their roles. The training commenced on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Civil Service Training Centre (CSTC) and concluded on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
In her opening remarks, Mrs. Elizabeth Obeng-Yeboah, Director of Recruitment, Training and Development at OHCS, highlighted the vital role secretaries play in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of an office.
She encouraged participants to engage fully with the program, to ask relevant questions, and to share their experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of the topics covered.
Mrs. Obeng-Yeboah consequently expressed her confidence that the training would enhance their capacities to meet current challenges and prepare them for future leadership roles.
Over the two days, participants explored topics such as “The Modern Secretary in Today’s Digital Era,” “Time Management and Organization,” “Ethics and Professionalism,” Emotional Intelligent,” and “Personal Development and Self-Management.”
