The Chief Director, Directors, and Heads of Institutions and Departments under the Office of the Head of the Civil Service (OHCS) have signed their Performance Agreement and Guidance Note with the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darko, on Monday, April 27, 2026.
The agreements, which cover the period from January 1 to December 31, 2026, set out specific key deliverables against which the performance of the Chief Director and Directors will be assessed. While Directors signed their agreements with the Chief Director, with endorsement from the Head of the Civil Service, the Chief Director’s contract was signed directly with the Head of the Service.
In his brief statement, Dr. Aggrey-Darko described the exercise as a critical step in advancing the government’s resetting agenda. He emphasized that the initiative reflects a renewed commitment to delivering on the Civil Service mandate through innovation and a renewed mindset to governance.
He further emphasized the responsibility of the Civil Service in national development, urging them to remain focused and committed to their roles. He called on them to strictly adhere to the terms of the agreement by meeting deadlines set and fulfilling all statutory obligations.
In his response, the Chief Director, Mr. Sylvanus Adzornu, expressed appreciation to the Head of the Civil Service for his exemplary leadership.
He encouraged Directors and Heads of Departments to foster teamwork and collaboration in achieving their targets, always assuring them of his openness to dialogue and support.
