CHIEF OF STAFF INAUGURATES NEW CIVIL SERVICE COUNCIL
In accordance with Section 35 of the Civil Service Act 1993, (PNDC Law 327), the Civil Service Council was inaugurated on 19th August 2025 by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, at the Jubilee House on behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama. The newly constituted eight-member Council, chaired by Dr. Lawrence Kannae, was officially sworn into office during the ceremony.
In his address, the Chief of Staff urged the Council to align its work with the Government’s resetting agenda, emphasizing the need for this to serve as their guiding principle. He further charged members to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity within the Civil Service.
Responding on behalf of the Council, Dr. Kannae expressed gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in them and assured him of the Council’s commitment to professionalism and excellence in the discharge of their mandate.
