Edward Osei Owusu serves as Head of the Public Relations Unit at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service (OHCS). His career demonstrates remarkable growth, advancing from Assistant Information Officer in 2007 to Deputy Chief Information Officer. Prior to his current promotion, Edward served as the Head of Public Relations at the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council, where he led strategic communications initiatives and played a pivotal role in disseminating government policies and programmes to diverse stakeholders.

Edward’s academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), now known as the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC), and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon. This unique combination of communications expertise and psychological insight enhances his strategic approach to public relations and stakeholder engagement.

Throughout his distinguished career, Edward has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities, participating actively in high-level Management and Security meetings while chairing numerous Publicity Committees at district, regional, and national levels. As a committed professional, he maintains active membership with the Ghana Institute of Public Relations (IPR), ensuring he remains current with industry best practices and professional standards.

Beyond his professional commitments, Edward is passionate about personal development through Bible study, stays informed through current affairs programmes, and enjoys football and quality music.
