QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY   OF THE SET TARGET IS THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF GOVERNMENT

The Minister of State in-Charge of Social and Allied Institutions, Mrs Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, has said that the quality of service delivery of the set objective by State institutions in the country, is the main objective of the government.


Honorable Ghansah, made these remarks at a brief ceremony in Accra, yesterday, when presenting 45 Deorl Brand computers and their accessories to the Head of Civil Service, Nana Kwasi Agyekum-Dwamena, on behalf of some State Institutions.

 

The beneficiary institutions are the Public Records and Archives Administrations, (PRAAD) The National Population Council (NPC) and the Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS).


Hon,Doyoe Ghansah, who  also doubles as the Member of  Parliament(MP)  for Ada, in the Greater Accra Region,  has the oversight responsibility of the OHCS, in ensuring that the service functions effectively in providing efficient service delivery to the good people of this country, through the use of ICT.

She observed that some State Institutions do not have the required number of computers to work as is expected of them, hence this computer donation will help them deliver on their core mandates.

The Minister of State said the gesture forms part of President owned special initiative to ensure that State-owned Institutions are provided with Manpower needs of computers that would ensure optimum productivity is derived for the nation.

Hon Comfort Ghansah used the rare privilege to commend the Head of Civil Service and his OHCS management team for the good work done in uplifting the image of the Civil Service.

 

  
Receiving the items, the Head of the Civil Service, Nana Kwasi Agyekum- Dwamena, intimated that the Computers would go a long way   to boost performance and ultimately increase productivity of the beneficiary Institutions.

Nana Agyekum-Dwamena disclosed that the performance of the Civil Service has significantly increased over the years through the various reforms and initiatives are being vigorously pursued under his leadership with his able management         team.

He further hinted that Civil Service has mainstreamed anti-corruption mechanisms to monitor the performance of the Chief Directors manning State Institutions in the Country, in order to weed-out the perceived corruption in system.

On her part, the Chief Director of the OHCS, Mrs. Cynthia Asare-Bediako commended the Minister of State for that laudable gesture aimed at improving Service Delivery of the beneficiary institutions and further promised that the computers would serve their intended purpose.
