MASSIVE CLEAN-UP EXERCISE IN THE MINISTERIAL ENCLAVE

It was a massive clean-up exercise today in the ministerial enclave. Staff of Ministries, Department and Agencies were seen weeding, cleaning and distilling gutters within that enclave. This is in fulfillment of Government’s clean-up campaign to ensure that the Government Business District is rid of filth.

The Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare directed Ministries, Agencies and Departments to embark on a clean-up exercise in and around their places of work to contribute to making the city of Accra clean.

Her directive is to ensure that the President's vision to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa is achieved.

The Head of Civil Service, Nana Agyekum Dwamena led a monitoring team to supervise the exercise. He was satisfied with the work of the Civil Servant, The Ghana National Fire Service and Zoomlion Ghana and commends them for a good work done.

He noted that the Office of the Head of Civil Service will continue this exercise in order to realised the president’s Sanitation Agenda. He believes that this campaign of government will help arrest the sanitation situation in the country.
