The Head of Civil Service (HCS), Nana Agyekum Dwamena, has urged Civil Servants to resolve to make the performance contracting system work and become part of the work ethics of the Ghana Civil Service.

He said the sustenance of the performance contracting system will go a long way to assure the taxpayer that his/her money is not being wasted on non-productive government employees.   The new performance contracting system he noted will increase the productivity of the Civil Service and further strengthen the hand of the leadership and its Governing Council to demand from government improved conditions of service for Civil Servants.

This was contained in a message read by the Chief Director of the Office of the Head of Civil Service, (OHCS) Cynthia  Asare Bediako on behalf of the HCS at a durbar held for staff of OHCS, Accra.

The HCS commended Civil Servants for their commitment to work despite the numerous challenges posed to them and also paid tribute to those had been called to eternity during the year. He called on all Civil Servants to resolve to put on a positive attitude in the year 2015.
